Our first Golden Retriever joined our family in 1978 in the role that goldens fill so well, as a much loved family pet.  We had always had dogs in the family but I had always had a secret desire to have a golden!  This was the start of my `affair` with this wonderful breed and I then went on over the years to breed litters and then compete in Obedience competition in a small way and my husband enjoyed training one or two of our dogs to the gun. I also enjoyed Showing my growing family of  Goldens with some success which I have continued to do till the present day  and along my journey with Goldens  having the honour of judging the Breed from the lowest to the highest level.

Most of all, I really enjoy breeding occasionally and  all my dogs have always, since 1978, been screened through the schemes for hip dysplasia and eye problems associated with the breed before breeding and lately also the scheme in place for elbow dysplasia.  I have always, before breeding, put producing sound healthy  puppies with the wonderful temperament associated with the Breed as a priority.
